Case Study: Ravenbourne Developments Limited
Brief: Ravenbourne Developments,
a property company specialising in warehouse and industrial development,
needed help to attract positive media coverage. Ravenbourne were
doing exciting things under the direction of a dynamic managing
director and journalists needed to be woken up to this.
Activity: Kestrel focused
on building relationships between Ravenbourne and the two key
magazines in the industry, Estates Gazette and Property Week.
A series of meetings and interviews between journalists from these
magazines and the managing director were set up. In addition we
organised an interview for the Chairman, which emphasised his
experience and contacts within the industry.
Results: Ravenbourne now
enjoys a very good relationship with the key industry journals.
The company has been able to punch above its weight with several
significant articles highlighting Ravenbourne’s regional
specialties and knowledge. Whilst the managing director is viewed
as a reliable and quotable source and Ravenbourne are regarded
as an exciting up and coming company. Its improved visibility
has resulted in their being nominated and receiving awards such
as the 2003 Industrial/Warehouse Development of the Year.
